Welcome to Tidewater Lumber's Sawmill! |
Via our 58" Morbark Chipper, we supply quality wood chips to the paper industry and sawdust for many diverse end uses.
Upon entrance to the sawmill, bark is removed by our HMC rosserhead debarker.
Log breakdown is facilitated by our circle headrig coupled with a Silvatech computerized setworks.
Cants are processed through our Cornell gang/edger.
Materials flow from the breakdown mill to the slab/recovery band mill.
Our tipple allows materials to either be sent straight to the end trim, to an additional edger, or to the horizontal band saw.
Our next Cornell edger is fed from two directions, arbor sawing materials from the breakdown mill as well as boards recovered from the horizontal band saw.
A Fastline Horizontal Band Saw efficiently recovers boards from slab materials with an extremely low saw kerf.
The band saw operator has the ability to run around materials for further processing, send lumber straight to the end trim, or transfer materials to the edger.

Lumber is conveyed around a 90 degree turn to arrive at our Cornell end trim.
Finally, lumber is pulled from our green chain and put in its respective pile.
